Excellent appearance inside and out. Made by Sylvania Electric for 1949 and 1950 shoebox Ford and Meteor. Has lovely original chrome plating. Impossible to photograph without getting reflections. Ordinary FoMoCo radios for '49 and '50 have six tubes and five ivory plastic buttons. This very rare high fidelity superheterodyne version has eight tubes and six chrome buttons, as well as special wagon-wheel knobs for the optional HiFi unit. Information on the Internet indicates that this optional radio will also fit 1951 and 1952 Ford and Mercury truck dashboards. We're not 100% sure about that. Should be inspected, and refurbished as necessary, by a qualified technician before connecting to a 6 volt power source. Great gift. $150.00. show contact info
